Shivambu said his demotion came as a result of a fake intelligence report claiming he wanted to overthrow the party’s president, Jacob Zuma.


Shivambu said that Zuma was surrounded by people who fed him false information.


"The president of MK Party, who I dearly and so deeply respect, is surrounded by political scoundrels, who opportunistically use his kindness and sometimes gullibility that comes with age to write down fake intelligence reports to influence towards wrong decisions."
